The Manchester Human Services Department's mission is to promote the health and well-being of Manchester residents.  The Human Services Department includes the Health Department, Senior Adult and Family Services, the Senior Center, Early Childhood Services, the Certified Nurse's Aide program, and the Youth Service Bureau, as well as Community Agencies receiving Town funds, and the Human Services Administrative office.  Click on any of our divisions for information about what we do, how you may benefit, or how you may become involved in some of our programs.

ENERGY ASSISTANCE 2009/2010 through the Connecticut Energy Assistance Program
To Apply for assistance, make an appointment at 560-5800 (automated service)
and provide the following documentation upon arrival to the office at 479 Main Street, Manchester

¨ Social Security numbers for all household members over the age of 2
¨ Birth dates of all household members
¨ Name & Address and phone number of landlord
¨ Current copy of Utility Bills, Gas or Electric (if household heats with utility).
Bill must be in the name of the household member over the age of 18.
¨ Documentation of disability, if applicable
¨ Documentation of household income for the four consecutive weeks prior to
the date of application for ALL household members
¨ Current rent receipt or copy of lease if heat is included in the rent
¨ Homeowners need to provide amount of mortgage statement
¨ Complete copies of most recent bank statement
¨ Oil Applicants should have the name of their oil company

If some documentation is missing, you will have 7 days to bring it to the CRT
office. If you miss that deadline, you will receive a written notice giving you 10
days. If you do not provide the missing items within that time period you must
start the application process over again and make a new appointment.

ENERGY ASSISTANCE IS AVAILABLE NOW THROUGH MAY 1, 2010 (MAY 15 FOR HOUSEHOLDS WITH SHUT-OFF NOTICES).
